Geologic Sequestration
of Carbon Dioxide

Odin Reservoir Consultants are experts in the geological storage of carbon dioxide (CO2) as a potential way to mitigate global warming and climate change.

Odin conducts large scale static and flow modelling of CO2 sequestration projects and have advised foreign governments and the Western Australian Government Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DMIRS) on both Phase 3 and Phase 4 of the South West CO2 Geosequestration Hub.

Odin’s work on the South West Hub CCS Project in Harvey, Western Australia resulted in the identification and verification of a World 1st unconventional geological CO2 storage location.

This confidence in the suitability of the Lesueur as a CO2 storage reservoir has increased as a result of the latest modelling by Odin Reservoir Consultants ‘Dynamic Model of the Harvey Area’ (2018), which shows that the Lesueur meets the success criteria, and that injected CO2 stops migrating through the formation after 500 years. The modelling will inform any future investment decision regarding CCS in the South West.
